Ontario Government Supporting Non-Profit Organizations in Durham Riding

$234,100 is helping three local programs and services that help deliver critical community programming across province

DURHAM ― The Ontario government is providing three non-profit organizations in Durham Riding with $234,100 in funding this year through the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s (OTF) Capital grant stream to make it easier for local residents to access the critical programming, activities and spaces that make the Durham Riding a great place to live, work and play.

“Our government believes organizations like Autism Home Base, Bethesda House and Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Durham enrich the lives of people in Durham Riding and play an important role in building a strong and prosperous economy in Ontario. That’s why I am proud that they are receiving capital funding support,” said Todd McCarthy, MPP for Durham. “Organizations such as Autism Home Base, Bethesda House and Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Durham are the pillars of our community. This support will enable them to better serve the people of Durham Riding and continue to make a positive difference.”

OTF’s Capital grant stream helps organizations improve their infrastructure so they can continue delivering programs and services that Ontarians need to thrive. Whether it’s purchasing equipment, building a new space or completing renovations, retrofits or repairs, these grants support projects that are making a difference in the Durham Riding.

“Across Ontario, non-profit organizations are delivering critical programming that is helping people train for new careers, stay active, learn new things and connect with their community,” said Stan Cho, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Gaming. “That’s why capital grant support is so important. This funding will help ensure facilities and spaces are accessible, modern and central to communities across our province.”
